Very cute place with a nice view. They were cleaning the deck as they just opened and it was great to see how well the staff worked together. They work together to serve you too. You never have to wait. There is always someone around to help.
Friendly and attentive wait staff. Good was very good served in an upbeat atmosphere. I have had seafood and burgers all of which were seasoned well and served quickly to the table with a smile. My wife always enjoys the house crab salad with her meal... go and enjoy
When a friend of mine heard I was celebrating my anniversary in Gulfport, MS, he recommended this place. Even though the place was packed, my wife and I only had to wait about 10-15 minutes to be seated. We shared the Fried Green Tomatoes and both ordered the Ribeye Steak with Sautéed Shrimp. Everything was amazing.
I believe it was probably the best ribeye I have ever ate, the manager and staff were awesome. The atmosphere was very good as well. It was very cold outside and the restaurant was packed but they had heater going on the outer deck.
Although this wasn't my first visit to Captain Al's, it was my first time experiencing their brunch. Six of my closest friends and I gathered there to enjoy great food and fellowship. We were served by a friendly and attentive staff, and we couldn't stop raving about each other's dishes throughout the meal. Sad I didn't get to experience their Bloody Mary! Each time I saw a waitress pass me with one, my mouth watered!
Captain Al's is a fun place. Staff are friendly and competent. And the food is great! BUT the service is SLOOOOOOW! We got our drinks right away but took 45 minutes to get apps and another hour to get our entrees. The shrimp poboy was one of the best I've ever had but you have to be ready to wait for it.
We went for lunch and had the Dozen Shrimp Bloody Mary. It was excellent, had to leave Louisiana to get fresh shrimp in Gulfport MS
